Briksdal

The Briksdal glacier is situated 40km from Stryn Hostel.

In the summer there is a bus connection from Srtyn Busstation to the briksdal Glacier.

The powerful Briksdal Glacier is a part of the Jostedal Glacier National Park. The wild glacier swoops down from a height of 1200m to the lush, narrow Briksdal Valley - a beautiful sight that attracts 300,000 visitors from all over the world each year. New from the season 2007 is the excursion with "Safari boats" on the lake in front of Briksdal Glacier. This was a very popular activity which will continue also the summer 2009.

Excellent breakfast, with big variety. Delicious hot supper at reasonable price. Very effective and friendly staff, especially the manager. Very good common spaces. Only complaint is that more hooks are needed for towels and clothes in the bathroom of Room 102.

Amazing breakfast and nice staff ! Quiet place on the top of a hill, pleasant stay, located 15min of a rather hard walk from the bus station ! Rather old premises, but very clean.
