Avalanche Safety

2 days intensive avalanche safety course. Based in Hemsedal and Stryn. Off piste skiing and freeriding in a ski area or back country skiing. We use international methods to work with snowpack, weather, terrain and human factors. Skiing in steep terrain and rescue is another central part in our courses. Test of different avalanche search beacons. The courses suits modern freeriders and back country skiers. You need qualifications for skiing in off piste terrain.

Skischool

Bergtatt Stryn offers ski school at the Stryn Skicenter all through the winter. The Skischools for children, from 5 years old and adults. Alpin, telemark and snowboard. We give lessons in ski technique, carving and offpist

Backcountry skiing

2-3 days backcountry skiguiding and avalanche safety course for skiers and snowboards. We use international methods to work with snow pack, weather, terrain and human factors. Planning of tours, skiing, rescue and simple use of crampons, ice axe and rope makes this course perfect for backcountry freeriders. Stryn has a new ski lift up to 1000 meters and that makes it easy to get in perfect ski and avalanche terrain. The mountain Skåla, 1848 meters with its very special cabin is always our highlight.

Excellent breakfast, with big variety. Delicious hot supper at reasonable price. Very effective and friendly staff, especially the manager. Very good common spaces. Only complaint is that more hooks are needed for towels and clothes in the bathroom of Room 102.
