The Fjord horse - a symbol of Norway.

Njål from Oppstryn in Nordfjord is reckoned to be the common ancestor of all today's Fjord horses both in Norway and abroad. Fjord horses are renowned for their good temper and for being good working horses. They are undemanding, have great stamina and are much used nowadays for recreational purposes.

You can get better acquainted with these beautiful beasts by visiting one of the riding schools in Nordfjord and letting the Fjord horse itself give you a guided tour of its beautiful realm.

Excellent breakfast, with big variety. Delicious hot supper at reasonable price. Very effective and friendly staff, especially the manager. Very good common spaces. Only complaint is that more hooks are needed for towels and clothes in the bathroom of Room 102.

Amazing breakfast and nice staff ! Quiet place on the top of a hill, pleasant stay, located 15min of a rather hard walk from the bus station ! Rather old premises, but very clean.
